Meet Matt!
Hi, I’m Matt, and I have a learning disability. (I know, what a thrilling way to start an introduction—stay with me, it gets better!)
I’ve always loved writing poems, rhymes, and good old postcard humor, ever since I was a kid. There’s nothing like a cheeky joke or a well-timed pun to make people laugh. My love for comedy started early, watching the Carry On films and comedy legends like Frank Carson, Ken Dodd, Mick Miller, Jimmy Cricket, Little and Large—honestly, the list goes on forever!
But when it comes to the best writer of all time, there’s only one name—Roald Dahl! His Revolting Rhymes, Dirty Beasts, and wickedly funny stories inspired me, and hiring a storyteller from the Roald Dahl Museum for a charity event was an absolute highlight!
That’s why I started writing my own book, "The Big Book of Blunders, Beasts & Buffoons!" Every story and rhyme inside is in my own words, capturing a mix of funny, silly, heartwarming, and sometimes even a little sad moments. Some stories will make you laugh, others might surprise you—but they’re all part of my unique world of words.
So, have a look around! Read some pages, download the book, and most importantly—let me know what you think! Your feedback means the world to me, and if this book is a success, there’ll be plenty more crazy tales to come!
Thank you for reading—now, let the blunders, beasts, and buffoons begin!
